Before and After School Club Leader (Part Time)
Overview
St Mark’s C of E Primary School is an Outstanding primary school looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working leader for our award-winning Before and After School Club. This is an exciting time for the club as we move to new purpose-built premises during Summer 2025. The club has also recently extended its opening times from 7am in the morning until 6pm in the evening. Approximately 50 children attend (on average) with children receiving a cooked snack both before and after school.
Personal attributes
We are seeking someone:
• To lead the Lions’ Den childcare setting, before and after-school
• To provide a caring, safe and secure environment for children to learn and develop through a variety of play opportunities.
• To plan and provide an appropriate range of leisure activities for children between the ages of 4 and 11.
• To lead all aspects of the childcare setting, including delivering play opportunities, ensuring that good hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
Our ideal candidate will have:
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge and understanding of how to support children and aid their development.
• Want to work as part of a hardworking, dedicated and cohesive team.
• Have a friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication skills.
• A good attention to detail; and
• A good sense of humour.
• Level 2 childcare relevant qualification.
• Food Handling and Hygiene Level 2 qualification, or the commitment to achieve this
• An awareness of how to support children with allergies and medical conditions.
• Ability to work as part of a strong, supportive team.
• Assist with organizing fun and educational activities and provision of high-quality childcare.

Salary & Benefits
Grade: Aquinas Grade A5.2
Hours: 30 hours per week (7am-9am, 2pm-6pm daily) Monday to Friday
Weeks: 40 Weeks per year
Actual Pro-Rata salary: £19,775.08 p.a.
Full Time Salary: £27,015.00 p.a.
