Teaching Assistant (with named pupil) – Fixed Term
Overview
St. George’s Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working teaching assistant to support class teachers and work with a named child in KS1/KS2 with additional needs and an EHC Plan. The role is a fixed term role until the named pupil ceases to be a pupil at the school.
Personal attributes
The successful candidate will have:
- Have experience working with SEN children.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to support children and aid their development.
- An ability to deploy strategies to allow learners to engage with the curriculum creatively.
- Very good numeracy/literacy skills.
- Minimum NVQ3 Teaching Assistant Course or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Want to work as part of a hardworking, dedicated and cohesive team.
- Have a friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach.

Salary & Benefits
Grade: Aquinas A3.1 (Full Time Salary: £24,645.00 p.a.
Hours: 30 Hours per Week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 15:30 (including 30 minute unpaid lunch 13:00-13:30)
Weeks: 39 Weeks per Year
Actual Pro-rata Salary: £17,587.25 p.a.
Contract: Fixed term (until the named pupil ceases to be a pupil at the school and/or there is an amendment to the named pupils Statement of SEN)
